1) Expiration: A domain name will be placed in a Register-Hold status when the owner failed to renew his ownership. The registrar will take action and place it in this area where the owner will be given a 30 to 45 days grace period. During this stage, the domain name is already disabled by the registrar. 2) Delete: in this stage, the registrar will delete the domain name.

3) Redemption Period: during this period, the owner will be able to restore the domain. Once restored, the status of the domain name will stay like this for the next 30 days. No changes can be made by the owner during this period. To perform this stage, the owner will have to pay a penalty of up to $200. When payment is made, the domain will be in a Pending Restore condition which last for 7 days. a report will be submitted by the registrar in order to approve the domain to recover back to the active status. If approved, the domain will be re-activated.

4) Pending Delete and Delete: This stage will be active if the domain name stays in the redemption period for five days. Once the domain is in this period, it is already deleted in a permanent way. Nothing can be changed anymore. So, the name will be released back into the market where it can be bought by any new user out there who wants it.
